Burgos, July 30, 2024. The BENTELER Group, with the support of the European Union Recovery Plan and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, has developed a self-diagnosis system for hot stamping lines at its Burgos plant. This pilot project seeks to improve quality, productivity and energy efficiency.
The project uses advanced data processing techniques and Big Data, integrated into the SPDP (Smart Production Data Platform), developed in-house. These data allow a self-diagnosis of the installation that includes predictive fault detection, intelligent diagnostics, advanced energy management and productivity improvement. The direct connection of the self-diagnosis with the tablets used by the managers allows the preventive detection of anomalous situations.
Roberto Cossío, Plant Manager at BENTELER Burgos and Palencia: “We are convinced that the support of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation and the European Funds will be essential to achieve the objectives of this digitalization project. This joint effort represents an important step towards operational excellence and sustainability in our production practices.”
The transformation to the implementation of smart factories throughout the BENTELER Group is a significant step in the manufacturing industry: Digitalization, automatization are key to increasing efficiency and production. With its outstanding expertise in engineering and metal processing, the BENTELER Group not only improves its internal processes, but also strengthens its market position by providing advanced and specialized solutions to its customers.
