Economic County Council Dr. Michael Strugl as guest at BENTELER SGL Composite Technology GmbH

Paderborn/Salzburg, March 13th, 2017. The Austrian Economic County Council Dr. Michael Strugl and his delegation visited BENTELER SGL Composite Technology GmbH in Ort, Austria at March 10th, 2017.

The curious visitors were shown around the plant. The plant produces carbon structure parts and leaf springs made of fiberglass strengthened plastics on a total area of 42.000m², which is comparable to about ten soccer fields.

Herwig Fischer, Operations Manager BENTELER SGL Composite Technology GmbH, explains: “We are a leading partner for fiberglass strengthened plastics for the automotive industry. We offer the latest process standards for structure-, chassis- and crash relevant components in series production and in the section of module manufacturing.“

The company produces up to 550.000 leaf springs a year made of fiberglass strengthened plastics and up to 350.000 carbon components for different customers. The visitors were accordingly impressed. Economic County Council Dr. Michael Strugl summarizes: “We got an extensive insight into the state-of-the-art production here in Ort. BENTELER SGL as a supplier is not only active for well-known automotive manufacturers, but is also a very attractive and important employer in the region.”

The delegation’s visit was part of a visitation of Economic County Council Dr. Michael Strugl at companies in Ried, in order to maintain the direct exchange with the companies.
