Energy efficiency is a major concern for us in all our plants. Our energy management system therefore automatically links the energy data from our production and process database - PPDB for short - with our production data. This in turn helps us to improve processes with targeted measures in order to be able to save energy. And because the PPDB keeps a constant eye on everything, we also know when it´s best to replace inefficient systems. A great asset for our energy management and for our carbon footprint.

Our drawing shop in Schloss Neuhaus is one of the largest and most modern for seamless precision steel tubes in Europe. We produce to the closest tolerances. Even in sizes from 4 mm outside diameter. That’s what we call to the point.

Tube quality thanks to 3D surface inspection
To ensure that we supply you with tubes of the highest quality, we keep a constant eye on them. At our Schloß Neuhaus hot rolling mill in Paderborn, we optimize material and production costs by early and comprehensive assessment. A 3D surface inspection system allows us to detect possible defects on 100% of the pipe surface over its entire length. Online, extremely precise and without stopping the rolling operation.
In hot-rolled tube production, the quality of the pipe’s inner surface is determined by the mandrel bar. Damage to the bar can result in significant economic loss, which is why we make random visual inspections of the mandrel surface. For even greater reliability, we have intoduced an automated surface inspection system that provides 100% inspection of the mandrel bars, enabling us to detect and address issues promptly.
