World Cleanup Day is the world's largest waste collection campaign. Every year in September, people all over the world participate and help to rid the environment of waste. BENTELER colleagues also actively support this campaign since 2021.
Whether in teams around our sites across the globe or in private. In China, the USA, Brazil, South Africa, Spain, Germany and Czech Republic, we do our bit for the environment and collect large quantities of waste, which is then disposed of properly.

We take on responsibility
In Prague, Třebíč and Liberec, a dedicated team shows how joint action works. Since 2023, they have been organizing monthly campaigns such as food and clothing collections and clean-up campaigns. In February 2024 alone, they collected 329 kg of food for the “Česká federace potravinových bank” and sent a strong signal against food waste.
In May 2024, southern Brazil was hit by one of the worst flood disasters in the past 80 years. Our employees collected 378 kg of food, 6,077 liters of water, 263 kg of pet food and many other relief supplies. BENTELER itself donated an additional 6,500 liters of water to support those affected.
Together with the NGO Idesam, BENTELER plants trees in agroforestry systems in the Amazon. This project improves the living conditions of the local population and contributes to the restoration of destroyed forest areas.
BENTELER Steel/Tube held its annual charity golf tournament in Shreveport, Louisiana, in April. 49,361 US dollars were raised for Providence House, an organization that supports homeless families.
