BENTELER strengthens its plants in Vitoria and Burgos

Vitoria/Burgos, May 21st, 2024. BENTELER, a global leader in metal processing and mobility solutions, has announced a planned investment of approximately €35 million in its plants in Vitoria and Burgos, Spain. The investment, supported by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism’s PERTE program, is for the production of suspension modules for the new fully electric Mercedes-Benz model.

Two BENTELER locations will play a central role as suppliers for the new vehicle: The Vitoria plant will supply the axle modules, while the Burgos plant will contribute with chassis components, in addition to providing hot-formed parts directly to the customer. This comprehensive approach demonstrates BENTELER's ability to offer complete, high-quality solutions for electric vehicle manufacturing needs.

Ricardo García, President of BENTELER Automotive Modules Europe stated: “The new orders and associated planned investments once again demonstrate our commitment to Spain as a manufacturing location. In this way, we are strengthening our plants, creating and maintaining jobs and boosting the local economy around our sites in Burgos and Vitoria.”

The BENTELER Group's investment in Spain reinforces its position as a global leader in the automotive industry and demonstrates its commitment to the development of a more sustainable and efficient future in mobility.
